THQ today announced a worldwide agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products naming THQ the interactive game licensee for the upcoming animated movie adaptation of the internationally acclaimed children's book, "The Polar Express." THQ's multi-platform agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products includes video games for console, PC and Game Boy Advance systems scheduled for release at Holiday 2004.

"THQ is always excited to work with Warner Bros. Consumer Products in developing quality interactive games for kids," said Jim Kennedy, Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs, THQ. "We are looking forward to creating a fun and exciting game to draw players into the story that complements the Holiday movie."

"Warner Bros. Consumer Products and THQ have a history of creating quality video games across multiple platforms for our high-profile properties," said Philippe Erwin, Vice President, Interactive Entertainment for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. "We're thrilled to see the onscreen adaptation of the much-anticipated film translated into an interactive adventure that young gamers can experience first hand."

The Academy Award-winning team of Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis reunite for Warner Bros. Pictures' "The Polar Express," brought to life in full CG animation through Sony Imageworks' next-generation motion capture process that allows live-action performances to drive the emotions and movements of the digital characters. One of the most widely-held children's books in US libraries, "The Polar Express" has been awarded the Caldecott Medal for the most distinguished American picture book for children, acclaimed by The New York Times as one of the Ten Best Illustrated Children's Books, and recognized by the NEA as both a Top100 kids' book and a top 100 teachers' book.
