Ultimate Arena, Inc., the leading skill-based action game web site, and Jolt, the leading provider of Internet services to gamers in the United Kingdom, today announced that all matches in this fall’s Jolt Ultimate Arena Unreal Tournament 2003 League will be organized online at www.ultimatearena.com. Ultimate Arena, the leading online tournament platform, is the first service to offer players an online venue to compete in Jolt leagues for cash prizes.

“Thousands of players are already in organized leagues and ladders in the UK and Europe,” said David Lawee, COO of Ultimate Arena. “We’re excited both to provide a high-quality venue for league matches and to offer cash prizes to Jolt league winners.”

There is no cost to sign up at Ultimate Arena, and there is no cost to participate in the Jolt Ultimate Arena Unreal Tournament 2003 League. Sign ups at www.jolt.co.uk open September 8, 2003, and league play begins in late September. Players will be able to set up free league matches at www.ultimatearena.com, and Jolt league administrators will manage the league with a suite of tools developed by Ultimate Arena.

“Ultimate Arena brings a new level of excitement—and prize money—to players in Jolt leagues,” said Dominic Silk, CEO of Jolt. “We are thrilled to be working with Ultimate Arena on our Unreal Tournament 2003 league this fall.”

Players of all skill levels are also welcome to compete against one another to win cash at Ultimate Arena. Players can fund their accounts with a credit card or PayPal and start playing to win money within minutes. Players are assigned a skill rating based on their performance and are matched up against similarly ranked players. Cash prizes for a tournament are determined by its entry fee which may be as low as 50 cents.

Ultimate Arena is dedicated to providing a fun and fair experience for all players. On the technical front, Ultimate Arena works closely with game developers and other technology providers to ensure fair play. In addition, Ultimate Arena has developed the Ultimate Feedback System™ - a reputation system based on user feedback that helps players determine whom they can trust in the community.
