EA announced an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement with start-up indie development studio, Castaway Entertainment for its new action-RPG. Comprised of members credited with titles such as Diablo, Diablo II and Diablo II: Lords of Destruction expansion pack, Castaway is beginning to staff up to produce this major title.

"Our partnership with EA -- the #1 PC game publisher in the world -- ensures that this title will have the key resources and support that it needs to become a creative, addictive, and genre-defining title," remarked Michael Scandizzo, President of Castaway Entertainment.

"Our seasoned team looks forward to commencing our long-lasting partnership with EA," added Stefan Scandizzo, Vice President and co-founder of Castaway Entertainment.

"We are especially excited about this partnership because, like EA, the team at Castaway Entertainment is dedicated to making best of breed entertainment titles," said John Riccitiello, President and Chief Operating Officer at Electronic Arts. "They have the passion, heart and hands-on experience it takes to build an action-RPG title that truly sets the standard within the category. We are confident that this new title will reinvigorate the category by delivering a refreshing gameplay experience and epic RPG fantasy."
