Strategy First announced today that it has signed a contract with Game Factory Interactive Ltd to publish MiST Land South’s upcoming turn-based tactical combat simulator ALFA: Antiterror in North America. ALFA: Antiterror is scheduled to ship in Q3 2004 for the PC.

“MiST Land South has done an outstanding job with ALFA: Antiterror and we are very excited to see how this game’s development progresses,” said Don McFatridge, President of Strategy First. “This title has all the essential tactical combat elements it needs as a foundation as well as riveting, historically accurate gameplay, incredible attention to detail and a modern day setting that any gamer can dive into quickly.”

ALFA Group was formed in Russia in 1974 as a counter-terrorist and crime-fighting division of the KGB. ALFA operators oversaw service in Afghanistan and Chechnya, as well as domestic operations. They continue to exist to this day.

ALFA: Antiterror is a turn based tactical combat simulator that lets the player control this special operations force through a four episode campaign based on the real life experiences of former ALFA members from 1984 to 2001. Gameplay takes place in a variety of settings including the desert, mountains and valleys, forests, small cities and towns and features a wide selection of weapons from International manufacturers of warfare such as AKSU-74A, Colts, sniper rifle SVDs, grenade launcher RPG-7s and much more.

ALFA: Antiterror will premiere at this year’s E3 Expo May 12-14th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Strategy First will be in West Hall, Booth 2208. For more information on ALFA: Antiterror please visit www.strategyfirst.com or www.mistland.com .
