Climax today announced the appointment of David Schwartz as President of its one-year-old Los Angeles Studio. With over 12 years experience managing product development and technology in the video game industry, David is the perfect person to steer the company to even greater heights after its hugely successful debut year in the US.

David comes to Climax from WildTangent, a leading online game publisher, where he excelled in the role of Vice President of Development. At Climax, David will oversee project development at the thriving LA studio. Combining exceptional leadership skills with solid business acumen, he will assume ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the American office continues to produce quality games on schedule and within budget.

With a resume that features a string of hits, including such notable titles as the million-selling NFL Blitz and critically acclaimed Mortal Kombat III, David’s track record is impressive. In total, he has been responsible for shipping over 50 games, all of which have been completed on-time, a remarkable feat that speaks volumes about his commitment, professionalism and dedication.

“Right from day one we knew exactly who we wanted to lead the LA studio, and we’re delighted to have David join the Climax team” explained Karl Jeffery, CEO at Climax. “David shares our passion for producing top quality games and is the perfect choice for leading the studio as we look to expand our US operation.”

“It’s a great honor for me to be joining Climax at such an exciting time in the company’s development” said David. “The company’s phenomenal growth and huge success over the last few years highlights the extraordinary development talent that exist within Climax. The prospect of working alongside these individuals to create superior quality games is an incredible opportunity.”
