EA SPORTS now is taking on all fantasy football comers with the announcement of EA SPORTS Fantasy Football. Available starting July 21st at www.easports.com/fantasy. Electronic Arts, in conjunction with STATS, Inc. will offer a variety of fantasy football experiences for the 2004-2005 football season.

“We’re taking EA SPORTS fun, competition and quality to another level by bringing fantasy football to our online EA SPORTS fans,” said Chip Lange, vice president of EA SPORTS Nation. “We’re challenging all comers – you think you know football, every week, now prove it; EA SPORTS style.”

EA SPORTS Fantasy Football will offer a fully customizable Commissioner League for the commissioner and his buddies, as well as easy-to-play Public Leagues where individual EA SPORTS fans can take on the rest of the football community. The EA SPORTS Commissioner League offers true fantasy gurus the highest-quality league management capabilities as well as real world news and information. For just $99.99, EA SPORTS Commissioners can customize the rules and scoring systems for up to 32 team-owners. Fantasy football participants can sign up, and spend their Sundays in front of their personalized home pages, monitoring real-time scores and statistics provided by STATS, Inc., the world’s leading sports information provider.

The EA SPORTS Public Leagues will match up 12 players in a league where EA SPORTS picks the rules, and allows players to showcase their football smarts. For just $9.99, players can take on the EA SPORTS community for exclusive EA SPORTS offerings.

Free to all subscribers will be a weekly Pick’em Game, where the participants who most accurately predict the weekly winning teams will earn weekly EA SPORTS incentives as well as the chance to win a season-long EA SPORTS reward. Pick’em Game entrants can create private groups to compete against their friends, with trackable worldwide leader boards.
