Thankfully, Dragon Empire's community work involves the whole development team and, from there, Samantha 'Satine' Russell becomes Dragon Empires' new Community Liaison Manager. Having worked with Peter for many months supporting the community, Sam will work as part of the Dragon Empires development team to post all the latest information and directly answer questions from the community and press. Before taking on the Community role, Sam was a Senior QA Technician on the game.
Peter, known as Calistas to members of Dragon Empires' massive community, has built one of the most active communities for an online game. In his time with the Dragon Empires team, the newsletter audience grew from 40,000 to more than 120,000 active readers. His work led to Dragon Empires winning the "Community Relations Award" from Stratics Central and Peter has personally won IGN's RPG Vault Spokesperson of the Year two years running.
"It's a real wrench to leave the Dragon Empires team but I am excited about the game and look forward to playing it from my future home in New Zealand" says Peter, "Thankfully, I know that when I leave the community is in good hands, Sam is perfect to take over and has a great understanding of the game and the fans."
Says Sam, "Peter's a tough act to follow, but I'm really looking forward to getting even more involved in the Dragon Empires community and keeping its followers updated on the game's development."
As Codemasters' forthcoming player-driven fantasy MMORPG epic for PC, Dragon Empires live testing is now in its second preliminary phase.
