by Judy on July 28, 2004 @ 11:37 a.m. PDT

Eidos today announced the hard hitting in-game soundtrack for Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood. The sequel to the genre-bending phenomenon Backyard Wrestling: Don’t Try This At Home, Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood offers a soundtrack featuring contributions from legendary artists, today’s hottest acts, and tomorrow’s industry leaders. The in-game soundtrack delivers a direction that further refines and voices the sound of Backyard Wrestling and today’s youth.

"With the soundtrack for Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood we are building on the nearly unanimous positive feedback that the original Backyard Wrestling soundtrack received,” says Kevin Gill, global brand manager / soundtrack supervisor at Eidos. “This time around we are drilling even deeper into the past with the music that inspired today’s bands, the present with today’s hottest acts, and looking to the future to break the next big groups NOW. The BYW2: There Goes the Neighborhood soundtrack is THE DEFINITIVE hard rock soundtrack.”

The Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood soundtrack boasts a healthy selection of over 50 hard hitting tracks. The ample list balances the melodic, yet urgent "punky" sounds of today’s youth, a strong selection of modern music’s heaviest bands, and a healthy sampling of dynamic hip hop that thinks outside the box.
