'Atomic Planet' Developing 'The Guy Game' (PS2)

by Judy on Aug. 6, 2004 @ 8:45 a.m. PDT

Atomic Planet are proud to announce they are developing the PS2 version of The Guy Game for TOPHEAVY Studios, and Gathering, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.

Based around the popular US Spring Break holiday, The Guy Game is a trivia party game for one to four players and features high quality videos of bikini-clad girls attempting to answer general knowledge trivia questions presented by TV host Matt Sadler. If the girl guesses incorrectly, she is forced to bare her chest for all to see. The level of censorship in the game is determined by how well the player manages to guess the outcome of the questions, thus increasing the Flash-O-Meter.

The Guy Game is currently in production at Atomic Planet's Middlesbrough-based studios for Sony Playstation 2. TOPHEAVY Studios designed the game and developed the PC and Microsoft XBox versions.

APE's Operations Director, Jason Falcus says "The Guy Game really is one for the lads, and a great party game." He adds, " TOPHEAVY have found a huge gap in the market, and The Guy Game is going to do a great job filling it!"

The game has already gained a lot of attention and support in the US ahead of its release later in the month.

In addition to the general knowledge trivia quiz aspects of The Guy Game, there are also a number of fun and crazy ball games, using clever ball physics, and addictive, competitive gameplay, featuring all the girls from the earlier rounds. If your Flash-o-Meter is high by this point, you will not be disappointed!

The Guy Game will be available in August 2004 in stores across the US. To find out more about the game please visit www.theguygame.com
