KOCH Media Acquires French Publisher SG Diffusion

by Rainier on Oct. 13, 2005 @ 2:24 p.m. PDT

KOCH Media announced that it has acquired SG Diffusion of Cedex France, enabling KOCH to offer specialised European publishing and distribution across six European territories, a feat some UK top ten publishers are yet to achieve.

SG Diffusion since 2002 has represented numerous well known console and PC titles including the most recent Guild Wars from NC Soft, a number one best seller. An engineered success that SG Diffusion's President Christian Brecheteau and Managing Director Pierre Ortolan, are familiar with achieving. Having held several senior positions at SEGA, Codemasters, Virgin, Acclaim, and Interplay, Christian and Pierre are not new to this industry, with an enriched market understanding that spans over 30 years.

This signing perfectly compliments KOCH's interactive ambitions. By expanding into France, KOCH adds to their already existing local office locations within Germany, UK, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. An empowering development that overall strengthens KOCH Media's individual sales, marketing & distribution service across territories that cover up to 70% of total continental sales.

Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of KOCH Media comments "Our growth over the last four years in the interactive arena has been significant and the establishment of an experienced French office was of utmost strategic importance. More significantly, KOCH can now provide local expertise in the most powerful European territories, a skill that even some of the other top players are unable to offer"

Christian Brecheteau, CEO of the new French subsidiary, comments "Joining a European size group sharing the same objectives and values will open new development opportunities and will allow us to reinforce our position on the French speaking territories markets".
