Konami of Europe has confirmed the full roster of gameplay additions to the forthcoming PAL versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. In readiness for the PAL version's March release, Kojima has again added a number of new ideas to the European versions of the game. As with Director's enhanced PAL version of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, European gamers will get more Snake for their money than their US and Japanese counterparts in the form of four key new features.

As previously announced, PAL versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will feature a new 'DUEL MODE' which allows players to battle through the game's 'Boss Fights' independently, and details the rich variety of adversaries Snake faces during the course of the game. A 'DEMO THEATRE' has also been created, and can be used to play the game's stunning link sequences in order to enjoy the many dramatic plot twists in order.

European gamers will also enjoy a new 'European Extreme' difficulty level, which is designed for hardened veterans of Snake's jungle environment, while there are two new levels in the light-hearted 'Snake Vs Monkey' mode, wherein the Metal Gear Solid hero finds himself chasing and trying to catch errant monkeys! The PAL version will also feature many face paint designs not seen in the existing versions of the game, while the winning designs from Konami's global camouflage creation competition will also be included.
