Features :

  • Formations – in Takeda 2, each division in the army acts as a single coordinated entity, rather than a loose group of units. Divisions acting in formation can easily overpower a less organized enemy, as long as the commander uses the right formation for the job at hand. Pointed formations are good for penetrating enemy ranks, lines and curves are good for defending, and encircling or flanking formations make it easier to surround the enemy.
  • Epic Battles – The player will lead the charge with realistic military tactics and chain of command. Takeda 2 puts you in control of thousands of soldiers for battles that shake the heavens!
  • Advanced Emotion System – During battle, units react to emotional factors such as morale, fatigue, and fear. When attacked, soldiers will be more likely to fall back when morale is low, whereas units who are tired are less able to block enemy attacks.
  • Characters – Daimyos, generals, ninja, and royal families grow and develop over time. Each character is a unique entity, with his or her own personality and ambitions. As characters succeed in the game, they gain experience and grow, improving their skills. Some characters may be born with special abilities that can benefit divisions they command on the battlefield, or assist in the development and growth of the player's clan. Special items can also be given to characters, making them more powerful.
  • Politics – Not every clan is your enemy. Form alliances between clans, arrange strategic marriages, and manage relationships between your clan and others so that you can concentrate on immediate threats. If you make friends with clans more powerful than yourself, you can concentrate on your weaker foes and strengthen your kingdom.
  • Terrain Features – Castles in Takeda 2 are recreated from actual Japanese castle layouts. Burning gates, waving flags, and distant mist provides rich ambiance to the battlefield.
  • Terrain creates different tactical situations. For example, hills improve archer's range, forests slow down cavalry charges, and marching speed is slowed by rivers or hills, and supply lines in world mode are affected by roads and mountains.
  • Multiple campaigns – players can choose Oda, Uesugi, or Takeda clan, each with their own unique benefits.
