Acony Licenses 'Unreal Engine 3' for Multiplayer FPS (X360/PC)

ACONY announced that it has licensed Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 to develop an original multiplayer FPS title for PC and next generation consoles. ACONY chose the Unreal Engine 3 because it is singularly capable of delivering the next generation in graphics and physics necessary to advance online multiplayer entertainment.

"Making a technology switch was not an easy decision. But finally we decided to switch to the Unreal(r) Engine 3 during production, because we needed a next generation multiplatform technology" said Frank Trigub, Founder of ACONY. "The UnrealĀ® Engine 3 provides the tools and technology to develop a next generation title with THE highest graphical qualities in a shorter amount of time. We are amazed by the power and simplicity of the new UnrealĀ® Engine 3 toolset, the solid engine architecture and the realism and beauty of the shaders. It seems to blur the frontier between games and Hollywood movies."

"We're really excited to be working with Acony." said Mark Rein, Vice President Epic Games Inc. "They're a family-run business with the same sort of dedication to quality that we have here at Epic. We have no doubt they're going to put a lot effort toward producing a game that will stand proudly on the world stage."
