About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

'Bully' (PS2/Xbox) - Screen

by Judy on May 21, 2005 @ 6:45 a.m. PDT

The game's main character is 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins, who must defend himself against school bullies at a fictional U.S. boarding school called Bullworth Academy, while dealing with characters ranging from nerds and jocks to authoritarian prefects. Weapons included baseball bats that break after several blows, stink bombs and bags of marbles that when strategically thrown will lay flat most pursuers.

Bullworth is a corrupt and crumbling cross between a boarding school for rich kids and a reform school for delinquents. Rockstar Vancouver has created a sprawling campus environment to support a deep and humorous storyline, and an endlessly compelling
and open-ended gameplay experience.

As a troublesome schoolboy, you'll laugh and cringe as you stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks on malicious kids, and win or lose the girl.

"We are really excited about the first title to be developed by our Rockstar Vancouver studio," said Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games.

Bully is scheduled to be available this October for the PlayStation 2 and XBox.
