About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

MMO Player Sentenced to Life in Prison

by Judy on June 8, 2005 @ 10:19 a.m. PDT

A few weeks ago, we reported on the killing of an MMO player over the sale of a virtual sword. Today, the BBC is reporting that Qui Chengwei has been given a suspended death sentence for the crime. The suspended sentence means Qui could spend the rest of his life behind bars, although it could be reduced to 15 years for good behavior.
