Many new threatened and endangered animals will be available, along with new modes of transportation and tons of new animal and zoo building objects. New transportation options will allow your guests to get close to your animals without disturbing the natural habitat you’ve created for them. Build a vehicle tour around specific animals or even experience the thrill of riding the sky tram in first person mode. Build a conservation center to increase guest education while encouraging donations to your zoo and the preservation cause. You can even see your exhibits from elevated observation paths, sky trams or while riding in a vehicle tour. Two exciting new features of the expansion pack include new animals and elevated paths for your zoo. Elevated paths really open up a lot of doors when building zoos. Now fans can make large pools for your crocs or hippos and create elevated paths to extend over the large body of water. Before fans might have had to divide the pool into two separate areas to make sure your guests had a good view.
Linda Curry, the lead designer at Blue Fang commented recently on the new animals and said, "We kept the endangered animals on that list and even some of the most popular non-endangered animals on that list (gray wolf, koala). I then charted the number of animals that are available for each biome, world location and at each fame level. I prioritized the number of animals that we needed for each biome and location to better balance the animals in the game. I then did a search for endangered and critically endangered animals from those biome/location combinations. We decided on the animals on that list
that were the most well known or represented conservation success stories."
