Climax UK On A Recruiting Spree

by Rainier on Aug. 8, 2005 @ 10:11 a.m. PDT

In response to the increasing demand for its development expertise, Climax is delighted to announce that it is accelerating its global expansion programme. Consequently, over the next twelve months, the company is looking to hire over 100 new employees in its U.K. studios alone.

The company's recruitment campaign has been pushed into overdrive due to the awarding of six new development contracts. These huge projects cover all existing platforms, plus the next generation consoles, Sony PSP, Nintendo DS and mobile phones. As a result, the company is looking for any talented individuals with broad experience and a willingness to develop cutting-edge games.

The new positions to be filled will be spread across the company's studios. Between 30 and 60 jobs will be available at each studio, with typical vacancies including producers, artists, programmers and sound technicians. In particular, Climax is keen to recruit experienced programmers for a Playstation 3 project being developed at the company's Action studio in Solent, as well as Xbox 360 titles in the Racing studio, located in Brighton.

"With so many vacancies to fill, we're keen to talk to any talented and highly-motivated individual who wants to join our ambitious and progressive venture," explained Stuart Godfrey, Climax's Recruitment Manager. "As well as getting to work on exciting projects for major publishers, we can offer potential employees an extremely attractive salary package, benefits and a friendly working environment that encourages creativity and innovation."

Climax's growing reputation for producing top quality games also ensures that new employees will get to work on key projects for some of the biggest publishers in the business. "Over the last few months we've signed deals with many of the big names, including Majesco Entertainment, Midway, THQ, SCEA and Buena Vista," explained Stuart. "The games we're developing for these publishers have enormous potential. We're looking for people who share our determination to turn this potential into award-winning games."

Additional information on all available positions can be found at www.climaxgroup.com/jobs. Stuart Godfrey will also be attending the EIEF - anyone wishing to make an appointment to discuss available positions or obtain further info should email: jobs@climaxgroup.com in confidence.
