Telltale Games Signs 'Sam & Max' License

by Rainier on Sept. 15, 2005 @ 3:08 a.m. PDT

The Sam & Max series is a crime-fighting adventure structured like a TV season, each of the episodes has its own self-contained plot while together they form part of a season-long mystery, drawing in the player with great characters and multiple intertwined plot lines, building to a high-stakes climax in the season finale.
Finally! After many months of rumors and petitions, Sam & Max creator Steve Purcell, currrently working at Pixar, has come to an agreement with Telltale Games to work on the next Sam & Max title. After LucasArts cancelled Sam & Max: Freelance Police in 2004, the game has been in limbo, but the new agreement is not to continue where LucasArts left off, the new title will be a new product, with added content, and will be released in episodes, much like Telltale's current project Bone. More details to come in the near future ...
