'Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales' Gets Localized - Screens

by Rainier on Jan. 31, 2006 @ 10:30 a.m. PST

The world of Age of Pirates exists on 16 islands and the endless seas of the Caribbean. The two main characters each have their own spectacular story. Age of Pirates embodies the freedom of sailing, trading, fighting, colonization and the unlimited exploration of the real Caribbean.

While the Russian version has already been successfully released by Russian publisher 1C, IMC has started work on the enhanced European version. The game will be completely localised in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian, and will feature native voice talents and ingame text.

Stefan Layer, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer / Vice President of Playlogic Entertainment Inc.: "We have chosen IMC to localise our highly anticipated pirate game ´Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales´ to secure the best possible quality for its release in the end of March. IMC has proven to be a perfect business partner for us in many other business fields before."

Thomas Schaefer, Managing Director of IMC, InteractiveMediaConsulting GmbH: "We are very pleased about Playlogic's trust in our services! Due to the internal synergies between our Producer working on the completion of „Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales" and our localisation department we expect to be perfectly able to secure the best possible result in both time and budget."
