Seven Lights Reveals 'The Continuum'

by Rainier on Dec. 1, 2006 @ 1:06 a.m. PST

The Continuum combines classic turn-based wargaming, collectibilty and RPG character development into one multi-player adventure that will change the way you game. Characters, abilities and equipment combine with in-game artifacts, epic battlefields, and changing scenarios to provide an experience that is at once familiar and all-new.

"I have been watching these guys over the last couple of years evolve their idea, and I think they really have a compelling game concept. As a gamer myself, I have a passion for many types of games. Seven Lights has blended the most captivating parts of online and gaming entertainment to appeal to all gamers no matter what gaming mood they are in," said Alex Seropian, founder of Wideload and Bungie Studios.

The trio founded the company drawing from their experience in marketing, game development and operations. Tim and Mike, have history in creating immersive entertainment in their positions as co-founders of Publicis-owned Play, the first agency dedicated to helping marketers leverage the power of interactive games. Dave brings over 10 years of operational and marketing expertise transforming small businesses into large businesses in the public sector.

"We are truly creating the game we've always wanted to play," says Harris, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. "By tailoring the gameplay experience through customizable character sets and a narrative that reflects player's actions, we are providing the gamer a new sense of ownership and personal influence over their gaming experience."

Seven Lights products will appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers, as the company's games will be completely scalable, allowing players to explore their favorite aspects of online entertainment in a personalized arena. Players will be able to direct the game's fate through their performance, which also influences the storyline and new character sets. Players manage the development of their characters, as well as the evolution of their character collection through online trade, purchase and gameplay. The company will issue a constant stream of expansion packs and content, providing the gamer all-new characters, abilities, game modes and environments.

Seven Lights plans to support its games by delivering online and offline narrative and gameplay progressions. Online will include deep community-based web experiences and offline will include comic books, books, and digital video.

The Continuum is currently scheduled for early 2007.
