by Judy on Feb. 15, 2006 @ 11:14 a.m. PST

On Thursday, February 16, 2006, Austrian-based independent developer Bongfish Interactive Entertainment will open the mountain for beta testers to take a freeride with their highly anticipated snowboard title, Stoked Rider featuring Tommy Brunner.

The game already went to closed beta in December and with help of the game's growing community, a number of user-suggested improvements already made it into the game. The development team's flexibility in offering this kind of user-centric development process will allow for a smooth & refined gameplay experience.

Stoked Rider Featuring Tommy Brunner is the very first game focusing on the freeride aspect of snowboarding. It is scheduled for a mid-March 2006 release and will be available for Windows, Mac & Linux Systems.

Main Features:

  • developed with the professional input of Quiksilver's freeriding legend Tommy Brunner
  • massive open mountain world allows you to drop the rider anywhere you want
  • presented in a fresh & unique rendering style
  • never-before-seen physical gameplay experience & dynamically responsive character animation made possible by AGEIA's Phys-X middleware.
  • a filesize of just 30mb realized by the use of procedural world-building technique, making this a perfect fit for electronic distribution
  • innovative multiplayer approach letting players share their achieved height-meters in a collaborative enviroment
