'Battle Castles' Gets Cheap With In-Game Ads

Battle Castles offers a unique blend of strategy, white-knuckle adrenaline-pumping arcade action, and retro gaming with state of the art polish.

The game features 24 stages of ever-increasing difficulty with 3 modes of game play so that casual players and hardcore enthuisiasts alike can tailor their experience to challenge their individual skill level.

CEO of Rusty Axe Games, Lennard Feddersen, had this to say; "In-game advertising is enabling us to make Battle Castles available at a price point of $6.75 for gamers who don't mind seeing an ad when the games starts and completes. In return they receive a significant discount on our $19.99 price point while allowing us to earn the revenue we need to continue making high end, independant arcade titles."

Described by reviewers as Rampart meets Pirates, it is expected that this version of the game will allow Battle Castles to reach a wider audience. A premium version without ads is still available for $19.99 at the Rusty Axe website and a variety of online portals including Big Fish Games, Reflexive, Arcade Town, Boonty and others.
