'Me and My Katamari' (PSP) Goes Gold - Screens

by Rainier on March 7, 2006 @ 8:57 a.m. PST

Me and My Katamari delivers more of the simple and addictive game play enjoyed in Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari. Taking a break from celestial construction, the King of All Cosmos takes the royal family on vacation to a tropical island paradise, where they become tasked with the responsibility of creating new katamari islands for homeless animals. An epic undertaking of this time, earthly proportions, the King calls upon his pint-sized son, the Prince, and all of his cousins for help.

Me and My Katamari includes a variety of new, exciting features including Ad Hoc wireless play for up to four people on the PSP system, an island-themed interface and improved customization options for player characters to wear items on their head, face or body. Me and My Katamari also introduces a handful of new cousins -- created specifically for the PSP system version -- to the expanding cast of quirky Katamari characters.

"Whether you have minutes or hours to play, Me and My Katamari is the kind of game PSP system owners have been waiting for," said Yoshi Niki, Product Group Director at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. "From the bright, colorful graphics to the addictive gameplay, long-time fans and newcomers to the Katamari series will quickly understand why this franchise has won over the hearts of so many gamers around the world."
