by Rainier on May 1, 2006 @ 10:16 a.m. PDT

Emergent Game Technologies today announced that its European office has sold licenses for the Gamebryo Element, its next-generation game engine and tools, to six new international clients. Emergent recently announced it has also licensed its Gamebryo Element to Shanda Entertainment, China’s largest game developer.

“Our international reach continues to grow as we expand our presence in Europe and worldwide,” said Geoffrey Selzer, CEO of Emergent. “These six new clients reflect a worldwide interest in our product line, building on our already strong presence in Europe and Asia. We are extremely pleased to see game developers around the world turning to Gamebryo to support their game development efforts.”

The six game developers are:

  • Alterlab, based in Moscow, Russia
  • CNT Media, based in Hamburg, Germany
  • Collision Studios, based in Hannover, Germany
  • Funtactix, based in Israel
  • IMENGI, based in Ankara, Turkey
  • L’Art, based in Warsaw, Poland

The Gamebryo Element is fully optimized for development on Xbox 360™, PLAYSTATION®3, and PC, and has recently gained attention as the engine used in Bethesda Softworks’ record-breaking Xbox 360 and PC title, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. A stand-alone solution, Gamebryo is also now available as part of Emergent Elements, a family of tools addressing the full range of game development challenges.
