About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

Moviemaker BSEG Steps into Gaming Industry

by Judy on June 6, 2006 @ 1:52 p.m. PDT

Today, Big Screen Entertainment Group announced that it has already begun the first phases of developing Xbox and PlayStation console video games, while also creating mobile and PDA content.

All projects will be based on BSEG's fully developed projects, as well as projects that are currently in production. Completed movies include "Forget About It" and "Dirty Love," and BSEG is in talks with distributors for their murder mystery film, "The Mirror."

"Video games and mobile markets will give us the ability to start marketing movies before the conventional distribution of films, and will also give a larger base of exposure and branding of our products," said Kimberley Kates, CEO/chairperson of Big Screen Entertainment Group.

To handle these projects, the board has welcomed Daniel Silverstein to Big Screen Entertainment Group staff. Furthermore, this will expand Big Screen Entertainment Group's computer graphics department and open doors to less expensive special effects and animations.
