Get Your Lollapalooza Fix on the PSP

by Rainier on July 6, 2006 @ 7:48 p.m. PDT

Doors to the Lollapalooza don't open until Aug. 4, but the PSP has a fix for those who are counting down the days. Download an event program guide, Lollapalooza wallpapers, music clips, headlining artist bios and interviews featuring festival co-founder Perry Farrell and artists from last year's show.

The program guide, available on the PSP portal site, will expand later this month with an artist schedule for all eight stages and a venue map. Whether you want to plan out which acts to see in advance or bring your PSP system with you to the festival to navigate the grounds, the program guide provides a convenient way to get the most from the Lollapalooza experience all on a high-resolution widescreen LLCD.

During the event, attendees with PSP systems will have the chance to win prizes, and the program guide will be available for wireless download.

Now through July 14, consumers can enter the Catch PlayStation-Palooza Fever sweepstakes for a chance to check out Lollapalooza in person. One grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to Chicago for the concert, as well as a PSP system loaded with Lollapalooza content, PSP games and PS2 games. First and second place winners will also receive prizes. For details, official rules, and entries, please visit the official website.

Lollapalooza 2006 will feature 130 artists performing over three days in Chicago's Grant Park. The diverse lineup includes the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Wilco, the Flaming Lips, Gnarls Barkley, and Common.
