Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

Cabela's Alaskan Adventures (X360/PS2)

Designed with the sportsman in mind, the game immerses players in Alaska's outback and, for the first time ever, allows them to track trophy animals, fish, hunt birds, ride a dog sled and compete in various outdoor-themed contests.

"In 'Cabela's Alaskan Adventures,' players set out to capture the ultimate trophy in one of America's most pristine environments," states Dave Oxford, Activision Publishing, Inc. "The game features a wide variety of hunting and fishing expeditions that will challenge and entertain even the most seasoned outdoorsmen. This game sets the standard by which all hunting/fishing titles will be measured."

Players will use a co mbination of skill and strategy to complete 38 hunting and fishing adventures across 12 vast Alaskan regions from the North Slope to Ketchikan. With more customization than ever before, each adventure begins at an Alaskan outpost where players choose from thousands of gear options, including rifles, shotguns, bows and arrows, fishing tackle, clothing, scents, calls and more. Gamers are also able to go exploring or get to their next hunting spot by choosing to ride a snowmobile, truck or ATV. With more than 20 species of the most sought after Alaskan Trophy Game, including Yukon Moose, Barren Ground Caribou, Grizzly and Kodiak Bears, Roosevelt Elk, Dall Sheep, Sitka Black-Tailed Deer, and 10 different species of Alaskan fish, including Sockeye Salmon, Dolly Varden and Arctic Char, hunters and fishermen alike will be challenged for hours in the virtual Alaskan wild.

Currently in retail stores nationwide, "Cabela's Alaskan Adventures" is the first title for the Xbox 360 to combine the thrill of the hunt with the challenge of fishing. The game is also available now for the PS2. Both versions are rated "T" (Teen) by the ESRB and are available for suggested retail prices of $39.99 for Xbox 360 and $29.99 for PS2.

Disney's Little Einsteins (GBA)

Based on the hit Playhouse Disney television series on the Disney Channel, "Disney's Little Einsteins" is a game that lets kids and parents embark on new adventures with their favorite characters from the show.

"'Disney's Little Einsteins' is not only an entertaining experience, it's also a great way for parents and preschoolers to play together," said Craig Relyea, vice president of marketing, Buena Vista Games. "Children will enjoy hopping aboard Rocket with their friends from the show, and parents can trust 'Disney's Little Einsteins' to provide an enriching, high-quality game experience."

"Disney's Little Einsteins" features six different modes of gameplay, including matching pieces of music, dancing over flower buds, steering Rocket to avoid obstacles, and bringing classic art to life. Each mission begins by introducing a famous piece of art, and then transports the children (via Rocket) to different environments where they must gather instruments, which they use to play segments of well-known classical music.

Key Features:

  • Experience seven multi-level missions and 21 games with classic pieces of art and music
  • Six different types of gameplay, including steering Rocket to avoid obstacles
  • Select from two different difficulty settings
  • About Disney's Little Einsteins

Created by The Baby Einstein Company and the Playhouse Disney block on Disney channel, Disney's Little Einsteins takes preschoolers on fun, musical missions, introducing them to classical music, celebrated works of art and the wonders of nature. In Fall 2005, Disney's Little Einsteins was the highest-rated TV series premiere ever on Playhouse Disney and continues to be a hit. Preschoolers join in the fun as they watch Leo, June, Quincy and Annie take off in their space ship, "Rocket," to explore the real world around them, using their problem-solving skills to complete "missions of the day." Disney's Little Einsteins celebrates individual talents, lifelong curiosity, active listening and teamwork.

Developed by InLight Entertainment, Inc., "Disney's Little Einsteins" is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB and is available for $19.99.
