Nintendo Makes Your NDS Play MP3s

by Rainier on Sept. 3, 2006 @ 12:20 p.m. PDT

At last week's Leipzig Games Convention, Nintendo passed around a flyer revealing plans to release an addon allowing your NDS and GBAs to play MP3s. You will be able to store up to 500 songs on a 2 GB SD card, and the device will plug into the DS' slot 2, show all the pertinent information through its interface, come in a variety of skins and has its own headphone port. The retail price seems set for 29.99 Euros and is tentatively scheduled for October 8, 2006.
