Groove Games today announced Bedlam, a new flagship studio dedicated to the development of triple-A games based on original intellectual property. Bedlam's mission is to create innovative gameplay experiences born of exceptional design and realized by a world-class team in an unparalleled work environment.

"At Bedlam, we promote creativity and empower our employees to take daring new strides when designing games," said Zandro Chan, Director of Game Development at Bedlam. "The growing team brings triple-A development experience to the table, and we look forward to releasing details about our first project shortly."

Members of the Toronto-based Bedlam team have worked on a strong portfolio of titles including "Silent Hill," "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," "Manhunt," and "The Warriors." The veteran group is comprised of former EA Canada, Ubisoft, and Rockstar employees, and contributes experience from the videogame, film, television, and graphics industries.

Bedlam is a fully-funded, publisher-owned flagship development studio devoted to the creation of triple-A next-generation games based on original intellectual properties.

The studio was formed in late 2005 by a seasoned group of industry professionals from top-tier companies including Rockstar, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft who are united in their belief that games can be developed differently.

Bedlam is devoted to the proposition that the most talented, passionate team will deliver the best possible game to consumers when they are empowered, respected and guided by intelligent design and strategic planning.
