by Rainier on Jan. 19, 2007 @ 9:23 a.m. PST

German publisher dtp announced that it is setting up an internal development division, not to compete with its publishing partners, but rather to complement it. No details were disclosed on what titles it currently has in development.

„The development division will concentrate on implementing our online- and offline-concepts,“ explained Steffen Rühl, Creative Director at dtp. Rühl is in charge of constructing the new division and selecting its leads and directors.

„The aim of our company's new division is not to replace external structures,“ added Markus Windelen, dtp’s COO. „We are the single largest contractor for German development studios and will further expand that position. The internal development division allows us to assemble a competent and experienced team that we can also apply to externally developed projects – to the advantage of everyone involved,“ added Windelen.

„We are on the lookout for experienced industry professionals for our English-language studio. Filling the leading positions of Studio Manager, Technical Director, Art Director, Lead Programmer and Lead Artist is our top priority,“said Rühl.

dtp will shorlty announce more details concerning its development division .
