Rebel Monkey Studio Formed

by Rainier on Feb. 5, 2007 @ 2:22 a.m. PST

Casual game industry vets Margaret Wallace and Nicholas Fortugno today announced the launch of Rebel Monkey, a new casual game development studio focusing on creating the next generation of high quality casual games to entertain and entice audiences worldwide.

"Rebel Monkey came about as a meeting of like-minds – with a common goal of taking casual games to the next level," explains Margaret Wallace, Co-Founder & CEO of the new company. "Both Nicholas Fortugno and I have been involved in casual games since the beginning, so we are bringing a lot of experience to the table."

Prior to forming Rebel Monkey, Margaret Wallace was a Co-Founder and CEO of Skunk Studios in San Francisco – a leading developer of casual games. Nicholas Fortugno's design credits include "Diner Dash," "Plantasia," and the serious game, "Ayiti: The Cost of Life." Together, they plan to tap into the already-vibrant game development community of New York City to bring the next wave of casual game brands to the marketplace.
