Casual games publisher Alawar Entertainment and casual games developer Stargaze Interactive have entered an agreement that will produce a new casual games studio at Alawar called Alawar Stargaze.

Artic Quest 2, the sequel to the inlay puzzle game that won global recognition among casual game fans, is the first release from Alawar Stargaze. The arcade logic game, Mysteries of Horus, and the retro-Breakout game, Hyperballoid Complete Edition, are other popular releases from Stargaze Interactive.

"Alawar Stargaze combines our company's experience in the production and distribution of casual products on the world market with the professionalism and creative potential of the game developers at Stargaze Interactive," said Alexander Lyskovsky, CEO of Alawar. "The benefits of our partnership guarantee Alawar Stargaze will create successful games that meet the demands of the modern market."

Throughout its history, Alawar has focused on the development and publication of first-rate casual offerings. Recently, however, management at Alawar decided to reposition the company and extend its activities in the casual games sphere to include the acquisition of primarily East European companies. Alawar Stargaze is one of the first steps on the road to this restructuring of the company.
