Xider Games Reveals its NDS Lineup

by Rainier on June 22, 2007 @ 12:14 p.m. PDT

XIDER Games has recently been officially recognised as a licensed DS publisher in Europe, and announced that it will launch its first two titles, Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King and Luminator DS, in the second half of 2007.

Helmut Schmitz, Managing Director at XIDER states, “XIDER is really excited to be bringing these two great titles in two popular genres for the DS to the UK market. Not only are they our first DS games, but Nintendo DS has proved itself to be a popular format and the latest games, I am sure, will soon be a favourite choice.”

Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King

Having been up to his normal tricks at a wild party at the Pharaoh’s Pyramid, our young and illustrious adventurer, Assil, has picked up a death curse and stumbled across the precious Ankh amulet. The reluctant daredevil’s quest then begins as he tries to lose the curse which is only possible if he finds the Pharaoh. His big problem though is Osiris, God of the Underworld, who wants to get to Assil first to lay his hands on the Ankh.

Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King is a game packed with humour, imaginative characters and plenty of twists and turns along the way. The original locations and settings, the mystical surroundings and the appropriately themed puzzles all add to the game’s hugely enjoyable and lively atmosphere.

Luminator DS

Also available from XIDER will be Luminator DS, a music based puzzle game based on the well known Tetris title. Build cubes to the beat of the music and see them turn into valuable points. The higher you go and the better your combinations, the more points you will accumulate. Key features include 16 different background designs and 15 soundtracks and two difficulty levels in the endless mode. The game also features a puzzle mode with 45 puzzles and three difficulty levels.

Ankh: Curse of Scarab King will be available at £29.99, while Luminator DS will be priced £19.99
