Ricochet Infinity introduces a new way to play the game by putting the player in direct control of the ball. Instead of waiting for the ball to return to the paddle, with 'Recall' players can at any time, change the ball's direction, giving the player full control over the action during every second of the game, and not just when the ball hits the paddle.

"Once you play Ricochet with the new Recall ability, there is no going back," said Ion Hardie, Lead Level Designer on Ricochet Infinity. "It enhances the game play so much you'll wonder how you played a brick-busting game without it."

Like previous Ricochet games, Ricochet Infinity has been created with community in mind, enabling gamers to create and share levels with other players all over the world. Unlike previous Ricochet games, players can now download, rate and tag new levels without ever leaving the game. Unique to Ricochet Infinity, this new ability to directly download levels from within the game makes it easier than ever before for players to trade levels. Players will be able to watch and see the levels they create climb through the ranks of the most downloaded levels, and perhaps become the next online sensation.

"Ricochet Infinity has an endless supply of new levels being created by a very diverse group of imaginative levels designers form around the world," said James C. Smith, lead developer and creator of Ricochet. "The flexibility of the Infinity scripting engine enables very unique types of levels to be created. With hundreds of new level being released each month, Ricochet Infinity’s ability to sort, rate and tag levels becomes an invaluable tool to find the levels you want to play."

Reflexive Entertainment hasn't contented itself with creating what is essentially the world's first Web 2.0 game and making it more fun and playable than any other game in its class by adding direct ball control. Ricochet Infinity also features a whole new array of devastating power-ups to go along with all the old favorites, new stunning graphics that await you as you travel to unknown alien worlds, a techno-pumped soundtrack, over 200 included levels from the world's best level designers, the addition of new vector art and scripting tools to what was already the world's best level editor, trophies, achievements, ball skins, player character development, 24 different ships each with special abilities, Mouse Party™ for same machine competitive and cooperative multiplayer play, and Ricochet's new mascot, an alien companion to keep you company.

Ricochet Infinity is scheduled for liftoff in the middle of July.
