While Sony refused to comment, the bloggers over at Kotaku have conjured up info from unnamed sources that PSP v1.1 is in the works, to be unveiled in July at the also-revamped E3. The new and improved handheld console features a thinner exterior, 8GB of internal memory, redesigned d-pad and buttons, a faster loading UMD drive, and an LED backlit screen which increases battery life up to 4 times. Speculation is that it will go on sale in Aug/Sept for around $170.
