Adobe Flash Exploit Freezes Nintendo Wii Consoles
by Rainier on July 23, 2007 @ 5:30 p.m. PDT
Symantec says an Adobe Flash vulnerability could affect the Nintendo Wii through its Opera internet browser, and as a result of the exploit completely freeze up the console while browsing a specially crafted video. Researchers at Symantec said the vulnerability has already been tested on Windows, Mac and some Linux apps, saying it reflects the increasing use of cross-platform hacks, and recommend users to update Flash Player with the latest patches from Adobe.
