'Quake III: Arena' Coming to NDS, Web, and Xbox Live Arcade
by Rainier on Aug. 3, 2007 @ 10:19 p.m. PDT
During his QuakeCon keynote speech, id Software's John Carmack revealed they're working with Pi Studios on an Xbox Live Arcade version of Quake III: Arena, while a second dev team inside id is developing a free, web-based port, Quake Zero. Last, but not least, while not all contracts have been finalized yet, Carmack did say he would love to bring Quake to the NDS, especially because of its wi-fi & wireless capabilities. Inspired by Metroid Prime Hunters, the QIII: Arena conversion would mix in elements from Doom II.
