Vivox will provide Pixel Mine with customized voice communication services that are integrated with FireTeam: Reloaded, and with future titles. Players will be able to talk with team members, as well as opponents, in Team and Game Channels through the in-game user interface. In addition, fans can watch the action and communicate with one another on a Spectator Channel. Each channel is secure and equipped with management and moderator controls that provide the player full ability to create private group chat channels and mute other players on demand directly from the game UI. Voice communications will also be available in the Game Lobby where players may create user and buddy lists and organize pre- and post-game activities.

Vivox will also build for Pixel Mine a custom branded, desktop communications client to enable continual presence, IM and voice communications at times that the player cannot be actively logged into games. All voice communication will be hosted and managed by Vivox, and mixed on dedicated voice servers in order to ensure user quality, reliability and no lag during game play.

"Pixel Mine's philosophy is simple; we want to build captivating games for the online gaming community that keep them engaged and invested in the community. In order to deliver a quality solution to our audience, we chose Vivox," says Pixel Mine President David Reese. Pixel Mine CTO Michael Songy adds "We needed a voice partner with a proven ability to scale efficiently and with the resources to support our plans for an active online community. Our partnership with Vivox will keep Pixel Mine out of the cookie cutter pattern of games and aide us in our mission to change the way online games are delivered to today's players."

"Just like real-world military fireteams, crisp communication is critical to the close cooperation of small groups of tactical infantry", says Vivox CEO, Rob Seaver. "Pixel Mine recognizes the need for high quality in game voice chat. We?re excited to be part of FireTeam: Reloaded, supporting the player community with superior voice quality and reliability."

Full in-game voice chat support will let players communicate easily with each other to formulate strategy and taunt their opponents. Fireteam Reloaded also features a spectator mode which lets enthusiastic fans cheer or jeer from the sidelines.

When launched this fall, Fireteam Reloaded will be available for download from the Pixel Mine and Fireteam Reloaded (www.fireteamreloaded.com) websites. New content for the game, such as character skins, game maps and new game play modes will be available through the secure Pixel Mine store using the Pixel Mine micro-payment transaction system.

Pixel Mine will begin taking applications for the Fireteam Reloaded Closed Beta Test online soon.
