Atlus Brings 'TrackMania DS' (NDS) to North America - Screens

by Rainier on Nov. 19, 2008 @ 2:20 p.m. PST

TrackMania is based on the fun and the spectacular aspect of racing. With TrackMania DS, you drive at mind-blowing speeds on incredible tracks made of jumps, loops, turbo boost pads and many other crazy design elements. Just like the renowned PC version, TrackMania DS will offer an amazing track editor that will let you create your own unique and exciting tracks from hundreds of different design blocks, giving the game near-infinite replay value.

TrackMania DS allows players to drive at mind-blowing speeds in hi-octane racers on incredible tracks made of jumps, loops, turbo boost pads and other crazy design features, providing players with more than a hundred circuits to tear around, in three distinct single-player modes.

TrackMania DS is the most heart-pounding stunt-filled racing game ever to burn rubber on NDS. Over 100 tracks geared for blazing fast racing action - each loaded with daring jumps, thrilling loops, crazy ramps, and a host of other insane stunts - are just the start. Players have access to the most powerful portable track design system ever, giving TrackManiacs total freedom to create the most over-the-top race courses imaginable and offering practically unlimited value. TrackMania's "Coppers" reward system gives you credits for completed races which can be used to unlock new tracks, new car paint schemes, and most importantly, new parts to use in making the tracks of your dreams. The more you race, the more you can do! With single and multi-card local wireless multiplayer support for up to four players at a time (and eight players via hot-seat mode), in addition to the ability to share and race on each others custom tracks, TrackMania DS is the most feature-filled stunt racer for NDS!

Rally courses require expert handling across dirt paths, asphalt roads and winding, hilly tracks. In the Desert environment players negotiate chain bridges and giant potholes through dusty, stony canyons. When racing in Stadium, the most famous TrackMania environment, it is all about speed and style as cars power-slide and skid around corners at blistering pace.

Each environment has its own vehicle type, delivering three unique styles of gameplay. Rally tracks put players in an ultra light vehicle with immense power and great handling. In the stony canyons of the Desert it’s down to sensitive suspension and handling skills, while the iconic TrackMania car, a stylised F1 racer, is unleashed for players in the Stadium environment.
