Koch Media extends its business strategy with the New Media Development department. Its main focus will be on: building an international online publishing and service structure as well as developing new and innovative business models and concepts in the field of online games.

In the past five years Koch Media has successfully established its own games label - Deep Silver. Now it will also start to focus on the online market. This new department will be headed up by Senior Manager Sebastian Long and supported by Product Manager Thorsten Feldman and Community Manager Johannes Thimme.

"The online market is fast growing and this trend is also apparent in our business strategy, taking a very important part in it. Development, marketing and handling of online games differs massively from common games so that we have decided to build up a completely new department with new structures for that range. Developing online games is an enduring process. Besides the product quality, customer service, support and an active community, management are taking centre stage." – Craig McNicol, Managing Director of Koch Media.

The first release, ‘World of Soccer Online’, is a unique combination of a 3D football and trading card game. It was successfully released in Germany on December 7th 2007 in retail and online, with an Italian launch to follow. More projects are planned for 2008 and onwards.
