'The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return' (Wii) - 20 New Screens

by Rainier on March 10, 2008 @ 8:26 p.m. PDT

In The House of the Dead you will defy the undead with shotgun (Wii Zapper compatible) in hand as you explore a post-apocalyptic wasteland of unrelenting terror featuring beautifully rendered gore, six game modes (Time Attack, Arcade, etc.), co-op, and a wide variety of branching paths.

In The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, players will be able to play both versions of the game, battling the relentless attack of the blood thirsty zombies with steady aim and a quick trigger finger. Utilizing the innovative new Wii Zapper or the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, players will experience branching storylines with over six game modes including Arcade Mode and Time Attack modes that will test their shooting skills. The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return features an engaging single-player campaign, plus a co-op multiplayer mode for up to two players for countless hours of zombie shooting action.

The House of the Dead franchise is famous for its heart-pounding pace, astounding visual details and vast armies of unique enemies. Blasting through legions of grotesque zombies and mutated monsters, players eventually face-off against mammoth boss creatures that will test the accuracy and skill of every Wii gamer.

Available after beating The House of the Dead 2 and The House of the Dead III, Extreme Mode is a special single player mode in The House of the Dead III with a number of gameplay changes. Quicker enemy attacks make the action much more frantic and the bullet blast radius is much smaller. However, the player can take advantage of faster reloading of the shotgun as well as a new melee attack!

When the enemy is within melee range, pressing the A button will unleash the powerful melee attack that can hit several enemies! The melee attack can also be used to block enemy attacks, missile weapons, and even boss attacks! Don’t abuse the melee attack as it requires the player to reload after each use.

The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return will be available for the Wii in March 2008.
