Panzerkrieg: Burning Horizon II is a grand real time strategy game and sequel of CDV's Blitzkrieg: Burning Horizon. Three epic campaigns (German, Soviet and Allied) will let you experience the intensity of World War Two battles to a tactical depth never seen before.

Three epic campaigns (German, Soviet and Allied) will let you experience the intensity of World War Two battles to a tactical depth never seen before.

With more than 34 battlefields designed using historical maps, over 350 detailed animated units, 38 service branches and the opportunity to command your forces as infamous commanders such as von Manstein and Zhukov, Panzerkrieg immerses players into the maelstrom of World War Two battlefields.

The core unit system was one of the best features of the original Blitzkrieg, so we made sure that Panzerkrieg has more core units than ever before.

The new buildings and the new vegetation enhance especially the scenarios of southern Poland, the Baltic States, the Ukraine and the steppes of southern Russia.

If you look at the new units you will notice that we haven’t simply slotted these units into the game; we created a whole new structure of tactical possibilities. Blitzkrieg 1 didn’t have enough mobile AA-guns or enough special weapons: "Panzerkrieg - Burning Horizon II" will have flame throwers which burn quickly enemy pillboxes to ground. The “Panzerdraisine” railway anti-aircraft unit secures the frontline against enemy air raids and deadly air-to-ground rockets support now Soviet tank attacks from the air.

The days when the player could relax behind massive minefields are over now that a T-34 derivative and the radio controlled German SdKfz. 300 can plough paths through minefields.

Your advancing Panzers are accompanied and protected by many different mobile artillery and anti-aircraft vehicles based on SdKfz. 250, 251 and ZIS Trucks. This new approach opens up varied offensive tactics, but "Panzerkrieg: Burning Horizon II" will also support defensive tactics; camouflage nets can hide ambushed tanks and anti air shelters cover infantry against air raids.

But there is one consideration that remains very important to us. Whilst additional features, units and buildings are always nice to have, our main effort has been in developing an impressive storyline and tactically challenging missions that will be fun to play. This great gaming experience will be accompanied by an impressive orchestral soundtrack composed by a team which has in the past worked for Hollywood director Roland (“Independence Day”, “The Day After Tomorrow”) Emmerich.

Panzerkrieg: Burning Horizon II is currently scheduled for release in Germany October 2008.
