City Interactive Releases Six Pack of Budget Titles in UK

by Rainier on June 12, 2008 @ 2:53 p.m. PDT

Hot on the heels of the first three Gold Premiere titles launched last month City Interactive announces six new additions to its Premiere range of new games at great prices (£4.99) available from 13 June, Beauty Factory, Overspeed, Code of Honor: The French Foreign Legion, Terrorist Takedown: Conflict in Mogadishu, Sniper: Art of Victory, and Wings of Honour: Battles of the Red Baron

Leonard Harding, UK sales manager, City Interactive, says; “We aimed to hit the UK retail quickly, and in the space of a couple of months, that is just what we have achieved. Our first three titles are already taking re-orders, and now we have another six titles joining them this month offering gamers a nice mix of genres to choose from, and at prices where they won’t be stuck for choice.”

Affirming its commitment to offering great games for everyone, CI launches Beauty Factory, a fun strategy game for girls. Players become the CEO of a beauty products company and find out how to research, develop ingredients for cosmetics and scent composition for perfumes. Once in production, players will need to look at packaging and design, product positioning and promotion, sale of the product and explore their options on how to expand the market potential of the company! With the help of a user-friendly tutorial and intuitive game play what more could a girl want than a Beauty Factory of her own?

Next up from the Premiere Silver collection is Overspeed, a racing game that takes player to the streets of LA, the birthplace of illegal street racing where they can take on the legendary drivers of the fastest and most showy cars on the underground circuit hierarchy. Player can disassemble, repair, and upgrade their vehicle part by part as they improve their racing techniques, and if they feel up to the challenge, can also get online and race head-to-head with players around the world

First of the three shooters launching this month is Code of Honor: The French Foreign Legion. Enter Senior Corporal Claude Boulet, a 26 year old Parisian who will lead players into the hellish African savanna where a revolution inspired by the African Revolutionary Group is threatening to spiral out of control with the news that the rebels have what is needed to make ‘dirty bombs’. Players join the game as a new member to the Legion, taking on the role of a volunteer serving France with honour and knowing that a mission, once given, becomes sacred and must be carried out to the end, and at any cost.

City’s popular shooter series Terrorist Takedown continues with Conflict in Mogadishu where players once again join their fellow squaddies on another terrorist takedown operation. This time as a member of the elite special operations force, Army Rangers. As the US forces deploy into Mogadishu for Operation Task Force Ranger, get ready for another fast-paced, in-your-face combat – in Mogadishu, the action never stops.

Rounding up the shooter titles launching this month is Sniper: Art of Victory, where this time players take on the role of the hidden and deadly marksmen. Advanced ballistic system utilizing wind and gravity, realistic sniper rifles including the Mosin-Nagant PU and Mauser 98KS and a unique sniper weapons' shooting system which takes into account the shooter's condition makes Sniper a must have for shooter fans.

And finally, the cockpit awaits for flying ace fans with Wings of Honour: Battles of the Red Baron, a flight action game where two groups of flying aces are pitted against each other in a desperate effort to bring down the Red Baron. Flight action fans will enjoy thrilling actions in campaign mode, offering hours of excellent entertainment with the potential to fly on up to 24 aircraft faithfully reflecting the most famous World War One fighter air combats.

Summing up on City’s fast and furious entry into the UK, Harding concludes; City is absolutely delighted at the retail response our games are getting and from now until the end of 2008 we will be continuing to release more great games at great prices including two new titles for the Nintendo DS and a follow up sequel to Code of Honor, so watch this space!”
