Earlier this year PopCap denied it was bringing Peggle to NDS, but last month a new office was opened in Shanghai to bring several of its hit titles, including Peggle, to Asian audiences. At the Casual Connect conference in Seattle PopCap's Mark Cochrane confirmed that Q Entertainment, known for Lumines, is developing Peggle for NDS, scheduled for later this year. POpCap is also bringing two hidden object games to NDS, Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins and Mystery P.I.: Portrait of a Thief.

Peggle requires players to fire a metallic silver ball from the top of the screen, relying on gravity to propel the ball downward while it ricochets off orange and blue "pegs." The goal is to clear all the orange pegs from the screen before running out of balls. A moving bucket at the bottom of the screen offers free balls, while hitting green power-up pegs will activate the selected character's magic power.
