'Ninjatown' (NDS) Ninja Profiles - New Screens

by Rainier on Aug. 6, 2008 @ 2:06 p.m. PDT

SouthPeak Games' new NDS exclusive title, Ninjatown, based on the ShawnimalsÂ’ designer toy line, where you have to defend your peaceful town from Mr. Demon, using each of the NinjasÂ’ unique skills and powers.

Sunny skies, lush forest and rolling hills combine to form the land known as Ninjatown where adorable and honorable Ninjas populate this vibrant yet peaceful place. However, after the mysterious eruption of a nearby volcano, Ninjatown is attacked by hordes of sinister enemies lead by Mr. Demon, who, for reasons unknown, is bent on destruction. It is now time to use each of the Ninjas’ unique skills and powers – including the Mighty Wind of Ninja Dropping and Stealth Hugs - even the Ol’ Master Ninja comes out of retirement to fight off the evil and secure Ninjatown, one district at a time. The game is played from the top down, where the player uses the stylus to strategically place Ninjas to defend each area. The action is non-stop!

Ninja Profiles:

Wee Ninja: Although Wee Ninjas (and their mini counterparts Pocket Ninjas) make up the general populous of Ninjatown, that hardly means they lack complexity. In fact, Wee Ninjas train constantly to refine many of the techniques all Ninjas use today, including but not limited to the Stealth Hug, Sneak Snuggle and Fists of Tickle Fury.

Motto: "Honor, stealth & cookies above all else..."

White Ninja

Engineered from birth for missions in remote snowy areas, salt mines and contemporary art galleries, White Ninja is a mysterious character within Ninjatown. Whatever you do though, don’t suggest he’s an albino! Otherwise he might break out his katana and – well, ninjas don't actually hurt anyone, but he would threaten you severely.

Motto: "Behold my poof skills!"

This ninja isn’t so much against ninjas as he is the anti-thesis of being a ninja. After all, day or night, it’s hard to blend into the background when you’re wearing bright orange robes. Still, even though his ninja master often shakes his head in disgust, Anti-Ninja knows he looks fab since orange is this year’s black.

Motto: "Blend in by standing out..."

Baby Ninja

Wrapped in swaddling ninja robes, this wee Wee Ninja isn't quite old enough to learn the ropes. So for now, this ninja nugget lays around, observing the daily goings on of Ninjatown, burping, gurgling and whatever other things ninja babies like to do when they're not sleeping.

Motto: "Goo, gah, dribble..."
