'Neighborhood Games' (Wii) Announced

by Rainier on Sept. 30, 2008 @ 6:10 p.m. PDT

Ensuring that the fun never ends even if it’s cold, rainy, or dark outside, THQ announced Neighborhood Games, featuring 24 twists on popular neighborhood games that are fun for all ages and encourage both competitive and cooperative play.

In Neighborhood Games players have the option of playing one of 24 classic games including football, basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, lawn darts, horseshoes, bocce and more. Every member of the family – no matter what age or skill level – can get involved thanks to fine tuned controls that allow for a pick up and play experience. Each game features intuitive and familiar motions to let you jump into your favorite neighborhood sport and play.

Like real neighborhood games, the games can be played just for fun or competitively in tournament mode, where players battle it out against backyard bosses to conquer the neighborhood. Other exciting features of Neighborhood Games include the ability to create your own fully customizable and playable characters and taunt your opponents from the sidelines to break their concentration.

Neighborhood Games is expected to be available January 2009.
