by Rainier on Oct. 15, 2009 @ 7:38 a.m. PDT

Planet MiniGolf delivers a single-player campaign with intricate courses and over 140 challenging holes to play through, as well as a multitude of multi-player options, from the local hotseat mode to weekly online tournaments and a Worldwide Competition mode.

ZEN Studios is applying the same ball-and-table wizardry from ZEN Pinball to the creation of the PlayStation Network exclusive Planet Minigolf.  Players will now be able to embrace a brand new standard in realistic ball physics with the best all-around miniature golf experience for both casual gamers and sports fans alike.

“After successfully launching several pinball titles we decided to focus on expanding our library of games into different genres while staying true to the foundation that made our studio so successful,” said Zsolt Kigyossy, managing director for ZEN Studios.  “We’ve taken the same battle-tested ball-physics engine that was used to develop the ZEN Pinball franchise and applied it to Planet Minigolf resulting in the most true-to-life miniature golf experience available on PlayStation Network.”

Planet Minigolf delivers a deep single-player campaign that transports players to several exhilarating courses around the world and comes loaded with remarkable cartoon-style visuals immersing players into a fun-filled world of putters, balls and crazy obstacles.  Players can choose from six customizable characters and complete up to 144 unique holes packed with a variety of unusual hazards and interactive objects, all while trying to navigate the detailed terrain and sink that tricky hole-in-one.

Planet Minigolf also feature a full suite of multiplayer options including a local hotseat mode, regular weekly tournaments and worldwide competitions where players can battle it out to see whose nation reigns supreme.
