'Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures' (PC) Coming to XBLA Next Week

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures will combine rich and imaginative storytelling, fun gameplay, and Telltale's unique TV-style format. Assuming the roles of both Wallace and Gromit, players will spend each episode exploring a vivid world, assembling intricate contraptions, and getting the duo out of the sticky situations they frequently find themselves in.

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures will deliver all of the humor and charm of the duo's popular animated films, with a monthly series of brand new interactive stories in Telltale's unique episodic format. Alternating between the roles of quirky inventor Wallace and his faithful canine companion Gromit, players embark on their own style of entrepreneurial business ventures, tinker with creative contraptions, and interact with an ever-expanding cast of fun and endearing characters in each episode.

An endearing and affable inventor. Ever enthusiastic, Wallace's hair-brained, over-ambitious, yet well intentioned ideas consistently get him and his faithful hound into trouble. A definite penchant for cheese and crackers, not to mention fashionable knitwear!

Wallace's long-suffering loyal pooch. Gromit cares greatly for Wallace even though he's often railroaded into his master's mad-cap plans. Though cultured and sensitive, preferring order and the quiet life, Gromit displays amazing courage and heroism when it comes to getting his master out of self-made scrapes. Always showing astonishing initiative, Gromit is definitely the intelligent one of the pair.

Showcasing visuals modeled closely after franchise originator Aardman Animations' clay creations, Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures is Telltale's most cinematic series to date, immersing fans in the stories and interactions with the colorful personalities of West Wallaby Street. The game also features a new direct control scheme for gamepads, designed specifically for Xbox.

The episodes - Fright of the Bumblebees, The Last Resort, Muzzled! and The Bogey Man - take the unorthodox inventor and his canine companion through exciting interactive storylines - from a honey business plagued by giant bees, to a whodunit set at a beach resort in Wallace’s cellar, to a tale of triumph over an oily villain's greedy deceit, and concluding with a hardly sub-par finale at the prestigious Prickly Thicket country club.

Telltale will begin taking orders November 4th for the Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures full season DVD. In addition to all four fun-filled episodes, the DVD will include exclusive image galleries, a “making of” video, and Aardman Animations’ hilarious Cracking Contraption shorts, which profile some of Wallace’s more eccentric inventions.

In honor of the claymation duo’s impressive milestone, Telltale is partnering with the Wallace & Gromit Children’s Foundation in the UK and Penny Arcade’s Child’s Play charity in North America to make a donation in selected regions for every purchase of the full PC season of Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures November 4-8.

Xbox 360-exclusive series features include achievements, HD graphic support, and a custom control scheme adapted specifically for the Xbox 360. Foreign language subtitles will also be available for these episodes in German, French, Italian, and Spanish. Each episode sells for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Marketplace.

The release coincides day and date with the 20th anniversary of the release of A Grand Day Out, Wallace & Gromit’s first animated short.
