In Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, the entire single player campaign is fully playable co-operatively for up to four players online. Teamwork and communication are key as gamers take on USMC infantry and spec ops roles battling the might of the Chinese PLA as the war plays out across Skira island.
Title Updates for the console editions of the acclaimed tactical shooter will arrive prior to the launch of the ‘Skirmish’ DLC pack on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. The Title Update for the Xbox 360 will be available tomorrow, November 5th, with the Title Update for the PS3 to follow shortly.
The ‘Skirmish’ DLC features four new multiplayer maps and two new Fire Team Engagement (FTE) missions featuring both solo and four player co-operative play. Hunt down SAM launchers hidden in the sprawling complex of ‘Lumberyard’ and assault dug in PLA forces and fight room to room in ‘White Fang’, two tense new ‘Infiltration’ multiplayer maps. ‘Annihilation’ multiplayer maps pitch armour and infantry against each other in rolling battles across a valley in ‘Stomping Grounds’ and in ‘Force Dispersal’ military bases separated by a strategic hill become a close-quarters killing ground.
New FTE missions include ‘All Round Defence’, which places gamers in control of air support and attack helicopters as they defend a fortified complex against relentless waves of PLA. In ‘Uphill Struggle’ players must capture a bunker under heavy fire from hillside reinforcements. Gamers can also recon the entire 220 km² island of Skira alone or co-operatively in a range of vehicles at day or night in ‘Island Tour.’

The ‘Skirmish’ pack will also be available from Xbox Live Marketplace (400 Microsoft Points) and the PlayStation Network (£3.19 / $3.99 / €3.99) shortly. The ‘Skirmish’ pack for PC will be free to download.

With access to the full equipment and vehicle set plus AI fireteams, players will fight in pitched team-based battles surrounded by the devastating impact of contemporary weapon systems.
Combatants are shown using surveillance to recon targets, infiltrating buildings, engaging in close and ranged fire-fights and deploying vehicles including the AH6 and MI-17 ground attack helicopters and the M1A2 battle tank. The trailer brings to life Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising's uniquely tense multiplayer experience, as the 220km² island of Skira becomes an authentic and spectacular online war zone where players can attack or be attacked from any direction.
In addition to the campaign, the game’s individual single missions, once completed, can be set up as self contained co-op games. This enables players to jump straight to their favourite missions have up to 3 players to join as part of their unit. Co-op play also offers re-spawn points at checkpoints gameplay that encourages the fire team to stick together.
