Ubisoft Registers 'Driver: The Recruit'

by Rainier on April 26, 2009 @ 6:32 a.m. PDT

Released in 2007, Driver: Parallel Lines (Wii/PC) and Driver '76 (PSP) was the last time we heard of the franchise after Ubisoft bought the license and its developer Reflections Interactive from Infogrames/Atari the year before. The Driver offers an open, fast-paced driving action-movie experience, and while the previous title in the series, Driv3r, sold well, the past few games didn't score all too well in the media. Ubisoft seems to want to give it another try as it has recently registered Driver: The Recruit, indicating a new title might be in development at the UK studio.
